God is Love.
And the gospel of Jesus Christ can be summed up in the power-packed term ‘Divine Mercy.’
Hatred, moreover, unbecoming a disciple of Christ, is surely the tool of the devil; preferred by weaklings too scared to embrace the ultimate challenge of charity; preferring, rather, the easy way out in prejudice, destructive criticism, and violence.
But Love, or charity, should never be confused with the relativistic, politically correct, inclusiveness of the progressive. For real Love is both desirous of what is best for the beloved, and what is truest. Real Love does not lie to please. It does not rationalize to enable. It does not conform to untruth to fit in. It is compassionate, merciful, gentle, and tender when it is called for, and it is honest, articulate, bold, and challenging when necessary.
And Catholic charity, the Love of God in our hearts, demands that we love the confused and wounded, lost in the pop psychology, and political correctness, of the lie of transgenderism.
God created man and woman through heavenly graced biology. Some men and women are hard, tough, and steady. Some are soft, gentle, and tend to waver. Natural law, and common sense, reveal that a peach is a peach and a plum is a plum, no matter how hard one tries to rationalize them into an avocado. Love understands struggle. Love seeks to heal trauma. But the ‘compassion’ of pop psychology, and political correctness, seeks to give in without a struggle, seeking to avoid real healing, while ignoring the most sure thing ever created by God: reality.
Transgenderism is another lie from the devil. Just like gay ‘marriage,’ homosexual adoption, contraception, abortion, euthanasia, and soon-to-come biological experiments in human engineering, allowing men and women to cherry pick their gender is another attempt at building the tower of Babel; another dance around the golden calf; another day for the devil in the desert; another heresy; another apostasy; and certainly not another day for the Traditional, faithful Catholic.
Psychology, the sound kind, has proven that trauma and chemical imbalances can cause emotional/thought/behavioral problems such as a struggle with ones gender. Sound psychology seeks to bring the person to terms with who they really are. Who they are through the obvious biological reality of their bodies. Sound theology accompanies this healing process revealing God’s love for the struggling person.
But Catholic theology, and sound psychology, must never legitimize a lie. God creates everyone for an unrepeatable purpose. Our gender is God’s design. Our gender is nature’s participation in God’s Will. To pick and choose genders is to play God on par with genocidal acts such as abortion and euthanasia.
It can never be the choice of a true Catholic.
Transgender can never be part of the Catholic Theological Tradition.
It can never be part of the language of the gospel of Life and Love.
