Relativism is so interwoven into our social fabric that we cannot differentiate sheep-skin from bull-shit. Thus we have federally funded abortion, pornography -on-demand, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton leading the Presidential race, ‘Black-Lives-Matter’ leading the racial dialogue (?), gay ‘marriage,’ and Pope-Francis-propagandists (for and against) confusing even the keenest of theologians.
It all starts with the lie that politely tells us that ‘all opinions are equal.’ It graduates in intensity when it fallaciously teaches us, even on a post-grad level, that all religions point to the same destination, and all philosophies and political viewpoints lead to the same goal.
It is nurtured by overused metaphors such as the group of blind people feeling the elephant, and in doing so, identifying the part they are in touch with as the whole elephant. Or with postmodern mystical wisdom which asks the all important question: ‘If a tree fell in the woods, and we weren’t there, would it make a sound?’
Postmodernism is, after all, an admittance of the Modernist failure. And the Modernist failure was the illusion of knowing things, with absolute certainty, through an irreligious and elitist bias, solely through science and historical criticism.
But history, common sense, Traditional Christian religious faith, and logical thinking, a dying reality, all point to the fact that some opinions are like the assholes that share them, in dire need of being kept under cover.
The most obvious unworthy opinions are those that kill. Pro-Choice is a clever way of saying ‘I’m too selfish to be a parent.’ ‘Black Lives Matter’ is code for ‘I am an angry black person who has no spirit of forgiveness, and no desire to share in my own personal responsibility.’ Radical Islam is code for ‘I worship the devil.’ Transgenderism is a cover for self-despair, confusion, a pandering-Post-Christian society, a Psychiatric Profession run amok, and bad parenting, not to mention a probable traumatic childhood–which should be the real issue dealt with, and not surgery or bathroom visits which invade the opposite sex’s private space.
Unworthy religion is any religion which preaches hatred and violence. Radical Islam takes the brunt of blame. But it is not alone. Cafeteria Catholicism has lead to millions of abortions. Ultra-Liberal-Manhattan-Judaism has contributed through support for New York liberals such as Hillary, Bill, (and Donald) Clinton rising to power in the ‘culture of death.’ Evangelical Christians have chipped in with their ridiculous Donald Trump vote. All of them have also helped the cause of gay ‘marriage,’ and the attack on religious liberty illuminated in the HHS mandate.
Unworthy politics are also the boon of a relativistic society. Bernie Sanders has put the sexy back in National Socialism (see Nazi). Hillary Clinton has reinvigorated gender politics. And Donald Trump has brought a touch of the ‘Sopranos,’ ‘Don Rickles,’ and the ’12 angry men.’ Not all politics lead to the same goal. Bernie’s socialism leads to governmental oppression. Hillary’s liberalism leads to a bad economy, a weak national defense, lessened Constitutional freedom, and more racial strife. And Donald’s populism leads to a totalitarian on steroids run amok.
And philosophy, don’t even get me started! All of the philosophies of the month have led to a society more confusing than the biblical ‘tower of babel.’ Relativism, political correctness, pop speak, ebonics, and Spanglish, not to mention the babble of the millennials, have turned our nation into what sounds like an agitated barrel of monkeys.
So the next time someone tells you that all opinions are equal, smack them upside the head, real hard, and tell them that that felt real good!
See if they agree…
